So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. – Romans 10:17 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. – Hebrews 11:6 Notice particularly the first part of Hebrews 11:6: “But without faith it is impossible to please him….” If God demands that I have faith when it is impossible for me to have faith, then I have a right to challenge His justice. But if He places within my hands the means whereby faith can be produced, then the responsibility rests with me whether or not I have faith.
