Once I dwelt “in the tents of wickedness” (Ps. 84.10), “walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the powers of the air, of the spirit that now worketh in the sons of disobedience” (Eph. 2.2), and “lived in the lusts of [my] flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and [was] by nature [a child] of wrath, even as the rest” (Eph. 2.3).
But I then heard “a great high priest, who had passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God” (Heb. 4.14) and who is building a mansion for me, for “in my Father’s house,” He said, there “are many mansions” (John 14.2).
